One in, two out at Hearts.

David Witteveen is currently locked in talks with Hearts to become their fifth signing of the summer.

The Austrian striker and his agent are negotiating a deal thought to be in the region of a two-year deal after Witteveen impressed during the clubs pre season tour of Germany.

It seems unlikely that goalie Marian Kello and midfielder Adrian Mrowiec have any future at the club. They have not been offered new contracts and although the pair were keen to remain at Tynecaslte, it is unlikely that they will stay with moves abroad now seeming likely.

Meanwhile, Craig Gordon will not be fit when his Sunderland side come to Tynecastle on Saturday 8th August. The Jambo legend has suffered a reaction to a cartilage operation earlier this summer and will not make the pre season friendly. He is also ruled out for the start of the Premiership season where he was looking to reclaim his number one position and he will also miss the Scotland and Norway World Cup Qualifying clash.

We wish Craig all the best in his bid to regain fitness.
