Don't go Laslzo!

Had to happen. Csaba Laszlo linked with a job. Instead of it being the Celtic one, which I had a feeling he would be, turns out it's the Swansea job depending what happens with Roberto Martinez.

Here's hoping Hearts tell Swansea (or anyone else remotely interested) where to go. Covering games last season meant I had my neutral glasses on and one thing I noticed was Laszlo's spirit. I know it is not hard to spot, but there were times when Hearts were there for the taking, when maybe some individuals had floated out of the game, when it seemed as if the team would falter, they managed to pull something off. In addition, no doubt it had something to do with the coach on the sidelines, kicking every ball.

If there is a more passionate coach in Scotland just now, I have yet to see him. And that is the problem. The better he becomes, the more likely it will be he leaves us. Let's hope it's not just now, especially not for a Championship side who have just signed Stephen Dobbie. Let's hope that he can continue the good work he's started here and take Hearts forward in what will surely be an important season, not just for the club but for football in general.

To be honest, the story itself must be taken with a pinch of salt after it appeared in The News Of The World. The front page proclaimed an exclusive topless Britney Spears picture, sure to entice the dirty Mac brigade. The fact that it was a still taken from a music video a couple of years old should tell you how abreast of the times the paper is…
