Kevin KyleKevin Kyle is clinging to the hope that he can recover from his groin injury with the help of a course of injections rather than put himself under the knife. Jim Jefferies announced that Kyle, who has missed the last six games due to the problem, will be unavailable for this weekend's league game with Dundee United and fixtures beyond that.

Jefferies said: "We have spoken to the consultant and it's been decided not to go for surgery. We have ruled out the operation at this stage and the feeling is that a series of injections will help towards recovery. He will be struggling for the next couple of games but we're hoping to get him back as quickly as we can. If we can get away with these injections then we will hopefully avoid surgery. He's already had the first one and he has two or three more to get. We're going to keep our fingers crossed we can clear it up without surgery."
