Still chasing the top six finish

Thanks to Dundee United, Hearts remain in the top six after the Easter fixtures. United beat St Johnstone who are breathing down our collective necks to achieve a top-six finish. If the Perth side had won last night, St Johnstone would have been sixth on goal difference. More good news was provided by JJ who confirmed that there was nothing significant to worry about over the fitness of Andrew Driver, insisting the striker was substituted on Saturday after suffering from cramp. Driver and Ian Black both sat out training on Monday after being taken off during the 1-1 draw with St Mirren. However, it is expected that both will be available for selection for the visit of Kilmarnock on Saturday. Driver has missed much of the last five months with tendinitis in his knee but JJ confirmed that there had not been a recurrence saying: "Driver had cramp, that's all, and will be fine. He didn't train today but he has his own programme to follow and he'll be okay for the weekend."

Black had been struggling with a back problem and needed four stitches in a head wound, but he should be back on Saturday along with Laryea Kingston, who missed the Paisley draw through illness. Jefferies said: "Ian will also be okay even though he didn't train this morning. Larry was also a bit more bouncy today after missing the St Mirren game so that's encouraging for Saturday as well." Ryan Stevenson could miss out again though with a knee injury, which could require surgery. JJ said: "Ryan will get the injection and then we'll see how he is. He has kept playing through the problem and if he damages it further, then an operation might be required. We'll see if the injection gives him the chance to play in the run-in and then he can get complete rest over the summer."
