Hearts today confirmed that Czech international midfielder Rudi Skacel has signed on a 2 year deal. His loan spell at Hearts expires at the end of this current campaign.
Hearts and Marseille agreed terms at the beginning of the current season before Skacel's loan move and Hearts have exercised their right to retain the midfielder for a further 2 years from this season.
Rudi has scored 16 goals this term, 8 of which came in the first 8 matches of the season, a club and SPL record for such a feat. He fast became a fans favourite at Tynecastle with his unorthodox displays and excellent finishing. This is very welcoming news to all Hearts fans with the Champions League qualification nearing and the Tennents Scottish cup final just around the corner.
