Riordan at Riccarton to discuss Hearts move

Derek Riordan is expected at Riccarton in the next few days to discuss the possibility of a controversial switch to Tynecastle.



The Edinburgh born player made his name with rivals Hibs and became a frim favourite with supporters, breaking through the youth setup and notching 23 and then 20 goals in his final two seasons at Easter Road before earning a move to Celtic Park.

BBC Scotland reports Hearts are willing to pay a fee in the region of £500,000 ans the player will meet with Hearts officials with a view to agreeing personal terms.

Hearts are currently in Germany wrapping up their pre-season tour and manager Csaba Laszlo is thought to have given the transfer the green light after discussions with owner Vladimir Romanov.
