No need to change a successful formula

Why change a winning side if you don't have to? That is the dilemma facing Jim Jefferies as Lee Wallace and Andrew Driver are getting near to full fitness and availability for selection. Hearts are sitting, deservedly, in third place in the SPL and there is no guarantee that any player could just walk into the side. Wallace was back in full to training with the first team this week and Driver isn't that far behind. They could both be available for the all important second half of the season. But, with Ruben Palazuelos doing a great job at left back and David Templeton catching the eye of Scotland manager Craig Levein, it could be that the talented duo may still be kicking their heels a for a while yet.

Hearts assistant manager Billy Brown said: "Lee trained in the gym with us the other morning and, if we could have organised a game next week, he could have played in that. He's not far away. Andrew may also come back and train with us next week. The problem has been the weather, which has been keeping us inside. But they are coming on fine and aren't far away. They are going to be a good addition but, at the same time, it's not going to be easy for them to get back in the side."
