"It wasn't easy after our midweek game and we made a lot of chances but couldn't score," the Hearts manager said after the 0-0 home draw.

"I felt it was important for us to get the first goal to lift the players and the fans as the players were tired after a big week. I can understand the fans getting frustrated but you can't win every game.

"I thought the referee had a good game and didn't feel there was any need to send off Kenny Milne.

"Hopefully a week without a game will help us and the players will get a change of scenery with their international teams."
