Hearts to fine Nade after bust-up

"It is an internal matter and the player will be disciplined accordingly," said a club spokesman.

Nade, one of the highest earners at the club, is poised to be hit by a gross misconduct charge and handed a considerable fine.

The 25-year-old was expected to be left out of the side for this afternoon's SPL game with Falkirk, manager Jim Jefferies' first home match since returning to the club.

Nade's position in the side was under threat anyway following Hearts' run of four games without a goal.

Meanwhile, Jefferies has confirmed Jose Goncalves has still to decide whether to back down in the stand-off between the pair over extending the defender's contract.

Jefferies will not pick the player unless he signs a deal to replace the one that expires this summer.

"The club have done fantastically well to offer him what they have," Jefferies said in The Scotsman.

"His head is a bit confused. He is injured just now in any case. Even if he signs, he's not right back in the mix. He took a slight knock in training."

A decision from Goncalves was expected on Friday and Jefferies added: "We have had further talks.

"He's gone away to think about it. I told him to keep in touch.

"I don't want to put pressure on him. But he has asked for the time. So hopefully he will give me an answer one way or the other."
