The Hearts game against first division Partick Thistle will go ahead today as planned after an 11.30 pitch inspection. Heavy overnight rain made the Scottish cup 3rd round tie a doubt, but the referee deemed the pitch playable.

Hearts midfielderer Paul Hartley is suspended, while Alan Maybury and Mark de Vries have left Tynecastle to join Leicester, although Australian internationalist Patrick Kisnorbo is once again available after serving a 3 match suspension.

Michael Stewart is still out with the groin injury he picked up in the Boxing Day clash with Celtic.
