Hearts Greek internationalist Takis Fyssas has won his appeal against the red card he recieved against Celtic in the new year's day clash at Tynecastle.

Referee Ian Brines had sent Fyssas off for apparently denying Celtic's Shaun Maloney a 'goalscoring opportunity' . Hearts were 2-1 up at the time, but Celtic went on to win the match dramatically 3-2 in the closing minutes. Fyssas' red card was a pivotal moment in Hearts losing the game.

The review panel decided that there was no contact made, and Takis is free to play against Dunfermline on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the review panel said Paul Hartley has a case to answer on a charge of 'significantly serious misconduct' and is facing a ban after aiming a kick into the back of Celtic's Ross Wallace's legs.
