Hearts coach Graham Rix today said he is confident Portuguese left-back Jose Gonclaves will be a Hearts player within the next 48 hours.
Gonclaves has been training at Riccarton all week, and has impressed coach Rix.
Gonclaves currently plies his trade at Swiss side FC Thun, and looks likely to come to Hearts on a loan deal until the end of the current campaign, where Hearts will have the option to purchase him to the tune of around £750,000.
The 20 year old was said to be very impressed with the set-up at Hearts, and is seen as a future replacement for current left-back, Takis Fyssas, who is 32 years old. The Greek internationalist would also welcome the fight for the demanding position, where Hearts have leaked most of the goals they have conceded this season.
