A Euro 2004 winner could soon be playing his football at Tynecastle. Hearts chief executive Phil Anderton today confirmed he's in talks with Greek international left-back Panagiotis Fissas, 32. Fyssas played in all but one of his country's games when they won Euro 2004, trained with the Jambos at Riccarton yesterday - contractual discussions will continue with the former Benfica and Panathinaikos defender tomorrow.

Meanwhile Hearts today dropped their interest in Senegalese international right-back Ibrahim Tall. Tall was on a weeks trial at Tynecastle but didn't do enough for George Burley to earn a place at Hearts.
