The Hearts go into the derby showdown at Tynecastle sitting in eighth place, with the Gorgie side determined to end a four-game winless streak in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League league with victory over John Hughes' side.

"We get the same three points for beating Hibs as we do for any victory.

"In that respect, this game is not any different. But on the other hand it is a derby game and all derby matches are special occasions for players and supporters.

"We are not happy sitting in eighth position at the moment and we must do better than that. Definitely, we go into the game tomorrow looking to win and take the points to help our season.

"We look up the table and see where we want to be. I am confident we can get the result we want.

"Hibs are a good team but so are we. It will be an interesting game for everybody."
