Clubs eye Hearts kid Jonsson

Reports in the Icelandic media are suggesting Hearts midfielder Eggert Jonsson is a target for several major clubs throughout Europe.

The young midfielder, once shamfully described by Keith Jackson as one of Romanov's "faceless extras", had already attracted interest from AEK Athens and Werder Bremen in the summer, and now it seems even more clubs have joined the queue.

Now reports claim Bordeaux, AZ Alkmaar and Arsenal, among others, are also keeping tabs on the player, who has filled the void left by Julien Brellier with ease.

Jonsson, 19, has been in fine form for Hearts this season, making eight league appearances.
