Busy time ahead for Hearts boss

The Jambo’s boss is not only interested in a top six place next season, but he wants his club to compete for the major honours. Kilmarnock striker Kevin Kyle and midfielder Craig Bryson have been linked with moves to Hearts as has Aberdeen’s Mark Kerr.

Meanwhile, Jefferies has a list of more than 20 players that are potential signings and he is to present this list to Vladimir Romanov, Hearts majority shareholder. The pair will meet over two days in Lithuania to decide who in that list Hearts will attempt to sign. The Gorgie boss is keen to get as many new faces in as possible as that will create a situation where players will have to fight for their places thus strengthening the team. How many players he can bring into the side will depend on how many leave Tynecastle.

So it’s going to be a busy close season ahead for the Hearts manager as he tries to reshuffle his squad in an attempt to have a major impact on the SPL and cup competitions come August.
