Ismael BouzidDefender Ismael Bouzid has been given the all clear after fears that he had suffered a fractured skull in Saturday's friendly against Millwall. The Algeria international was stretchered off following a challenge in the 30th minute of the Gorgie side's 3-2 win at the New Den. He was taken to King's College Hospital in London and kept in overnight but tests revealed there is no fracture and the player travelled back to Scotland later on with Hearts' head physio, Rob Marshall. A club spokesperson said: "We are obviously relieved to hear that Ismael's injury is not as bad as feared and we look forward to welcoming him home. We'd like to sincerely thank Millwall for their support - the club were absolutely first class in providing us with help during a very difficult situation over the last few hours for which we're really grateful."

Jim Jefferies was delighted by the performance after his men came from behind to secure a welcome win, thanks to two free-kicks from Craig Thomson. He said: "
I thought they were outstanding. It is always nice to win the games but the performance was excellent. We were by far the better team in the opening 35 minutes until the injury. That took the wind out of our sails. The equaliser was a poor goal from our point of view - a free header in the six-yard box. I had to tell Craig Thomson to take the one at the end. It was a better distance than the first one. We were screaming at him to have another go. It was two fantastic free-kicks."
