Bednar could be out for the season!

Hearts star striker looks to be out for the rest of the season according to club doctors.

Czech star Roman Bednar was hurt in the league clash against Rangers back in November, where he tore cruciate ligaments in his knee after a rash challenge by Rangers defender Marvin Andrews (Which Hearts won a throw in for!). After an operation to mend the knee, he slowly regained his fitness, but it all flared up again on the training ground after a challenge by team mate Cristophe Berra.

The Tynecastle doctor said “If Roman’s knee does not respond to treatment, then unfortunately he will have to undergo a second operation to repair the knee. If this happens, then that will be it for the remainder of this season.”

On the other hand, Edgaras Jankauskis is hoping to be back in training as early as next week after tearing his hamstring in the cup match against Kilmarnock.
