Fyssas' red card to be appealed against.

Hearts today told the media that they are to appeal against defender Takis Fyssas red card which he recieved from inept referee Ian Brines on Ne'er day's Hearts - Celtic clash.

Hearts are appealing as there was no contact when the Greek internationalist made a last ditch tackle on Celtic striker Shaun Maloney. TV pictures confirmed this. Hearts also questioned the referees judgement as to why Celtic defender Bobo Balde wasn't given the same treatment as Fyssas when he upended Devidas Chesnauskis in the 1st half.

These 2 decisions ultimatley cost Hearts the game and the chance to close the gap at the top to one point.
