Regarded as Hearts' premium black-tie event of the season, not only does the Hall of Fame take up residence at a new home, but the event and induction process is also getting a new look, this year.

As part of the changes supporters will be able to propose candidates for the final nomination list after which a newly formed panel will decide upon a final shortlist of ten nominees.

Thereafter supporters will be able to vote for their choice of nominee for induction into the Heart of Midlothian Hall of Fame.

The nomination panel will consist of record goal-scorer John Robertson, record appearance maker Gary Mackay, club historian David Speed and marketing manager Lawrence Broadie.

Supporters can now propose candidates for nomination via hof@homplc.co.uk. The deadline for this is Friday, 9th October at 9am.

Already inducted into the Heart of Midlothian Hall of Fame are:

Gary Mackay, John Robertson, Steven Pressley, Paul Hartley, Dave Mackay, Freddie Glidden, Craig Levein, Craig Gordon, John Cumming, Willie Bauld, Jimmy Wardhaugh, Alex Young and Tommy Walker.

The 1914 team that joined McCrae's Sporting Battalion was awarded the Wallace Mercer Memorial Award for their sporting achievement at 2007's award ceremony.
