THE first Edinburgh derby of the season will now kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm on Saturday, 7 November after the SPL announced the latest fixtures to be broadcast live by ESPN and Sky.

Hearts were due to welcome Hibernian to Tynecastle for a 3.00pm start that afternoon but ESPN, the American-based broadcaster, has opted to screen the game nationwide, necessitating the earlier kick-off.

The match is likely to generate huge interest, particularly as it will be the first meeting of Hearts and Hibs fully three months into the campaign. Both clubs harbour ambitions of qualifying for Europe and will see the chance to take points off each other as vital.

Other rescheduled matches:

Hamilton v Celtic on 24 October (now 12.30pm kick-off live on ESPN);

Dundee United v Rangers on 31 October (now 12.45pm kick-off live on Sky Sports);

Falkirk v Celtic on 7 November (now 12.45pm kick-off live on Sky Sports);

Dundee United v Celtic on 21 November (now 12.30pm kick-off live on ESPN);

Aberdeen v Rangers on 28 November (now 12.45pm kick-off live on Sky Sports)
